With having done over 500 installations with majority of the systems installed inside Kathmandu valley, SmartPaani is now focused on expansion outside Kathmandu with a franchise business model. Franchising is increasingly adopted by successful WASH Ventures worldwide.

The idea to take forward the Franchise is to identify local entrepreneurs and equip them with the knowledge and resources on the SmartPaani services and technologies with guarantees. SmartPaani is taking initiatives to establish entrepreneurs who are affiliated with a strong brand and entrust them with technical support and the services. SmartPaani uses a multi-dimensional approach, addressing multiple water issues and sanitation as well to maximize the benefits and long-term sustainability of the systems.

With a motive to make water accessible to all Nepalese at both individual and institutional level, SmartPaani has been able to identify eleven places for franchise development with still accepting proposals for new areas.
